Thumbs up, by Jaidev Hemmady, Movie Talkies : ...Panda manages to weave a delightful satire with his latest offering and though there are times when one feels the film could have benefited from better execution, Kaun Kitney Paani Mein has its heart in the right place. The water scarcity angle has been handled quite well and though the idea of a decadent king and his loyal subjects seems outdated in modern times, Panda makes it believable enough for his viewers. The climax scene is quite quirky and will have you rooting for the underdogs. ... full review
So-So, by Subramanian Harikumar, Bollywood Life : ...In an industry, where we are served with minding numbing comedies every week, Kaun Kitney Paani Mein is refreshing and will be liked by those who have an appetite for satire. Having said that, the film suffers from half baked screenplay and takes its own sweet time to establish the plot. Watch it if you have patience and free time. Others can just give it a miss! ... full review
So-So, by Gayatri Gauri, FirstPost : ...Yet despite its pitfalls, Kaun Kitney Paani Mein has moments of fun and a subject that is relevant. Watch it for Saurabh Shukla. ... full review
So-So, by Johnson Thomas, Free Press Journal : ...Water politics set in a bygone age where caste and class were clearly demarcated makes for interesting viewing and the drama that ensues from warring regions trying to gain the upper hand in eking out a precious resource is quite worthwhile too. Unfortunately it’s not handled with the appropriate lightness or bitter-sweet subtlety required to deem it a satire. This film is quite engaging nevertheless- even if it doesn’t allow for any thought-provoking sentiment to come through. Saurabh Shukla’s strong presence and performance and a superbly choreographed and danced Sambalpuri number ‘Raangabati’ are clearly the highlights of this noble engagement! ... full review
So-So, by Surabhi Redkar, koimoi : ...Watch or Not?: Not a sure shot recommendation, but Kaun Kitney Paani Mein makes an effort to be an eye-opener. The film has its moments of hits and misses so if you want to step out for a cine-watch that is not particularly commercial, you could watch this one! ... full review
So-So, MoviezADDA : ...Dum??? Well, the basic plot line is interesting and has some decent performances attached to it. The movie will be a great watch over the small screen due to its slow narrative part and dragging screenplay. Sadly, due to weak screenplay, slow happenings and terrible climax the whole uniqueness ends up with an evaporating effect. ... full review
So-So, by Saibal Chatterjee, NDTV : ...Soil re-mineralisation? That is unprecedented for a Hindi film. Kaun Kitney Paani Mein goes where Hindi cinema rarely ever does. For that alone it deserves to be seen. ... full review
So-So, by Renuka Vyavahare, Times of India : ...The dialogues are crisp. Saurabh Shukla walks away with the best lines and does complete justice to them. Gulshan Grover also holds his own and impresses in his not-so-substantial role. ... full review
So-So, by IANS, Zee News : ...The background score and songs merge elegantly into the tale. But it is the beautifully choreographed folk dance on the song "Rangapati, Rangapati" which stands out .Overall, the film has the look, feel and charm of a bygone era. ... full review
Thumbs down, by Rachit Gupta, Filmfare : ...All said and done, Kaun Kitney Paani Mein is like parched land. There are cracks and dusty patches. And in reality there isn’t any water to sustain life or even drown into. ... full review
Thumbs down, by Nishi Tiwari, Rediff : ...Unfortunately, the storytelling in Kaun Kitne Paani Mein uniformly starts out with much force but falls short of realising its potential. ... full review
Thumbs down, by Sonia Chopra, Sify Movies : ...One wishes the film was as memorable as this beautiful thought. For now, we have to content with only the former. ... full review
Thumbs down, by VISHAL MENON, The Hindu : ...While these make the film mildly enjoyable, it’s the acting, especially by the supportive cast, that makes the film a tiresome watch. With the exception of Saurabh Shukla, most of the other actors don’t seem to have the prowess to add that caricaturish quality required to make satire fun. What can you say when even the 111-minute run time feels exhausting? ... full review

I was expecting a hatke film. But thoroughly disappointed. Not worth watching. Story that has no bearing in today's India. Twists that are non existent. Performances are all predictable. Really nothing worthwhile to note about this film.
