Thumbs down by Anna MM Vetticad , annavetticadgoes2themovies ... Believe it or not, Salman plays a 40-year-old in Kick. Devi laughingly claims that he is 10 since his birthday comes once every four years (he was born on February 29 in a leap year). As every Bollywood buff knows, for a 48-year-old male star to play a 40-year-old character, and not a 20-/30-something, is unusual and progressive. Next step hopefully: 48-year-old men who do not insist on starring opposite girls two decades their junior?... full review

Thumbs down by Baradwaj Rangan, Blogical Conclusion, The New Sunday Express ... I did enjoy watching Nawazuddin Siddiqui, though. The minute he enters the film, the sluggish proceedings suddenly come alive. His first scene is terrific. He doesn’t have much of a role – odd, considering he’s the villain – but what screen time he gets he chews up with relish. He sings old Hindi film songs. He laughs like a wheezy hyena. He punctuates his utterances with the sound of a ping pong ball hitting the paddle. He commits murder using bubble wrap. It’s strange that this supposed “art-film actor” gets so completely into the spirit of a masala movie and does his darnedest to keep us entertained. Is it too much to ask the same of others, that they earn their fat paycheques?... full review

So-So by Bobby Sing, Bobby Talks ...Summing up, I would like to rate KICK as a much better movie than KRRISH 3, DHOOM 3 or even EK THA TIGER in terms of entertainment. So Salman is definitely here to get a bigger Iddi this festive season along with Randeep and Nawazuddin loudly claiming their respective shares too. ... full review

Thumbs up by Taran Adarsh, Bollywood Hungama ...KICK is a paisa vasool, seeti-maar entertainer. Get ready for a Tsunami called KICK at the ticket window. It is sure to rewrite box-office records. Salman fans, rejoice. KICK is a sure-shot B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R. To quote a dialogue from the film: 'Woh apni Eidi lene zaroor aayega'... full review

Thumbs up by Saumya Sharma, BookmyShow ...A true blue Salman Khan fan doesn’t need a specific reason to watch his film. For everyone else, this isn’t a mindless film, so breathe a sigh of relief. Yes, it has its flaws, but it’s entertaining in a certain measure. If Bollywood films are your staple diet every week, then you know what to do.... full review

Thumbs down by Deepa Gahlot, cinemaah ...The audience is not at all demanding, which is good for Nadiadwala and Salman Khan. They can take their millions and go on to make another rubbishy blockbuster.... full review

So-So Daily Bhaskar ...Well, all said and done, if you end up catching the film you’ll have this thing playing on your mind all the time, “You like it or don’t like it, this film is entering the Rs 100 crore club,” try downplaying it with a reasoning and you won’t have an answer. ... full review

Thumbs up by Sushmita Murthy, Deccan Chronicle ...Seen purely in the context of its genre, Kick is an entertainer worth a couple of hours of your time on the weekend; more so if you seriously take to his dialogue 'dil main ata hoon, samajh main nahi'. The film is endearing in bits, but rational? We'll let you decide.... full review

So-So by Nikhil Arora, Desi Martini ... Kick is the best-looking average Salman Khan film. ... full review

So-So by Smita Vyas Kumar, Desi Martini ...Kick is a Salman entertainer out and out. Worth a watch.... full review

So-So by Sidhant Shori, Desi Martini ... Iss movie me 'Kick' nahi hai. ... full review

Thumbs up by Sarita tanwar, DNA ...Kick is non-stop entertainment and Salman Khan at his best. Don't miss it.... full review

Thumbs up by Rachit Gupta, Filmfare ...So there it is. A blow by blow account of Kick. No critique warranted. Salman bhai even sneaks in a direct Eid Mubarak to his fans. That should be reason enough.... full review

Thumbs down by Deepanjana Pal, FirstPost ...More importantly, this is the last time we'll see Salman Khan in a film in 2014. That gave us a kick.... full review

Thumbs down by Johnson Thomas, Free Press Journal ...The incoherence, the sloppily picturised masala elements, the implausible narrative jumps, the sheer waste of talent (Saurabh Shukla. Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui all going over-the-top) makes the experience even more ugly. The only ‘Kick’ you are likely to experience here, is the severe pain in your backside after two hours and 29 minutes of such utterly irresponsible and corrupted mind- numbing cine exposure!... full review

Thumbs up by Ravi Kandala , ...Kick is a full paisa-wasool entertainer that will easily rule the roost this Eid. Whether or not you've seen the Telugu version, you'll get your kicks from this one.... full review

So-So by Martin D'Souza, ...Jacqueline Fernandez is almost frozen all throughout the movie. She only comes alive with the song Jumme Ki Raat, blazing the dance floor with fluid moves. In fact it is Nargis Fakhri who blazes in her item number. Vipin Sharma is another actor who surprises with his maniacal brilliance. ... full review

So-So by Sweta Kaushal, Hindustan Times ...Now cut to the present: Salman Khan enters the scene and the adrenaline rush, as described by Shaina, begins. He carries out a series of high-profile thefts, and Himanshu is chasing him relentlessly. Meanwhile, the subplots reveal and we are told why Devi has turned into Devil.... full review

So-So by Rajiv Masand, IBN Live ...I'm going with a generous two-and-a-half out of five for Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. I didn't hate it. If that's enough encouragement, sure, go watch it. But you were going to anyway, right? ... full review

Thumbs up Indicine ...Overall, one of the dialogues in 'KICK' that has become popular is "Dil mein aata hoon... samajh mein nahi". That dialogue pretty much sums up the entire film. If watching Salman Khan on the silver screen gives you a 'KICK' , leave your brains back at home, take your entire family along and enjoy the 2 hour 27 minutes extravaganza called KICK!... full review

So-So by Mohar Basu, koimoi ...Kick isn’t a pile-on, on Salman’s harebrained repertoire. Luckily, it has the thrill in its action parts and the fuzziness in its romantic ones. Salman sinks his teeth in a character that is a blend of his best roles, delivering a film that is a welcome change from his regular formulaic potboilers. Nawazuddin’s performance upped the bar of mainstream villains by manifolds and Jacqueline’s chemistry with Khan is sexy. Kick is no Ek Tha Tiger but it is an effectively enjoyable film that crackles enough to gives us bang for our buck! I am going with a generous 3/5. Kick isn’t kickass but gives a delicious rush.... full review

Thumbs up by Joginder Tuteja, Movie Talkies ...As it happens, you do get more than what could have been bargained for, and that is primarily due to the fact that despite Salman Khan dominating the scene in practically every frame, Sajid makes sure that the additional characters are well integrated into the film and add a lot of value, something that accentuates the overall impact made by Kick. ... full review

Thumbs up by Divya Solgama, MoviezADDA ...Well, there is lots of dum for all those seeking a masala entertaining film with good music, fast pace actions and star power attached to it. The logic hunters in such type of films might end up getting disappointed as usual. The movie might not be on the lines of Salman Khan's super entertaining films like 'Wanted', 'Dabangg' or even 'Ek Tha Tiger', but is far better and entertaining than his recently released films like 'Jai Ho', 'Dabangg 2', 'Bodyguard' and few more. It's got the entire ingredients required for an engaging film and will entertain its targeted audience for whom their lovable Salman Bhai machaye Dhoom, but in his own style.... full review

So-So by Saibal Chattarjee, NDTV ... Kick provides a kick only sporadically. For Salman Khan fans, that should be good enough.... full review

Thumbs down by Noyon Jyoti Parasara, Now ...The amount of money you spend on the tickets of Kick should be directly proportional to the how much you hate yourself! Kick has to be the biggest disappointment of the year... full review

So-So by Raja Sen, Rediff ...t looks good, moves fast, shows off its superstar. In the world of harebrained Bhai films -- Dabanng included -- Kick is the best made and the most fun. If you're a fan, you just hit the jackpot... full review

So-So by Sonia Chopra, Sify Movies ...In one of the scenes, a character questions, “Devi has gone to jail and he beats up people, but he has a good heart?” It’s a clear reflection of Salman Khan’s persona. So it’s no surprise that the film, especially the latter half, is a giant show-reel for Salman Khan’s Being Human image. His fans will rejoice. The others will call it a trick where Salman and the film feed off each other. Either way, what you get is an archetypal Salman film with the regular cliches, and a few moments of, err, kick. ... full review

Thumbs down by Sudhish Kamath, The Hindu ...The film’s downright stupid, a guilty pleasure at best — that once again has Salman do his thing that you’ve seen before. No matter what the reviews say, you’re going to go watch it. ... full review

Thumbs up by Srijana Mitra Das, Times of India ...However, these are small quibbles in a fun film. As Devi would say, "Dr. Psycho, chillati kaiko?" Just enjoy this cheese-Kick.... full review

Thumbs up by Rummana Ahmed, yahoo! India ...Kick’ is not just complete paisa vasool for Salman Khan fans, it is actually awesome to see that actors like Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddique get such meaty roles in a Khan film.... full review

So-So by Aparna Mudi, ZEENEWS.COM ...If you are a Salman fan – go watch the movie. Don`t expect any ground-breaking, revolutionary filmmaking. This is as entertaining as it gets.... full review
