Thumbs down by Bobby Sing, Bobby Talks ...Now reading the above references, you can sure enjoy the film more, recalling each and every incident as they come on the screen. But in case you are just interested in watching a thrilling murder mystery using your grey cells, then watch Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s KHAMOSH (1985) instead. Because in THE XPOSE it seems the makers were more interested in the controversies than the murder mystery.... full review

So-So by Taran Adarsh, Bollywood Hungama ...On the whole, THE XPOSE is a decently-crafted vintage musical-thriller that keeps you guessing about the identity of the murderer all through. An entertaining outing for fans of atypical Bollywood-style murder mysteries... full review

Thumbs down by Avinash Lohana , Bollywood Life ...In a nutshell, The Xpose is nothing like the suspense films made in the ’60s. The dialogues of the film is the only saving grace which are available on YouTube too, so why waste money in theatres? Himesh has done a decent job, though there is still much scope of improvement. Overall don’t sulk if you miss the film. It’s not worth it.... full review

So-So by Aubrey D'souza, BookmyShow ... The seedier side of Bollywood gets Xposed!... full review

So-So by Deepa Gahlot, cinemaah ... The production design is over the top and the costumes bizarre. The music—not bad. This could have been a thriller with a retro look, but it ended up as a as an unintentionally amusing comic caper. But to be fair, it wasn’t boring.... full review

Thumbs down Daily Bhaskar ...Overall, The Xpose is an average film which would die a silent death majorly because of a poor screenplay despite of having a decent script. ... full review

Thumbs up by Mehul S Thakkar, Deccan Chronicle ...The background music goes well with the intense scenes adding more drama to the plot, which is full of twists towards the end. Himesh version 2.0 as an actor will change your opinion about him.... full review

Thumbs down by Nikhil Arora, Desi Martini ...The Xposé is Himesh Reshammiya's ego trip that nobody should take ... full review

Thumbs down by Aneela Zeb Babar, Desi Martini ...It beats looking at the election ticker for some. ... full review

So-So by Rony D'costa, Desi Martini dance, na expression, na pose sirf His Himesness ka solid dose. ... full review

So-So by Suprateek Chatterjee, FirstPost ...Simply put – and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who thought this would be the next Jaani Dushman – The Xposé is surprisingly watchable, even in a non-ironic manner.... full review

So-So by Johnson Thomas, Free Press Journal ...The dialogues are audience rousing no doubt and the music inveigles its way into your mind (even if you don’t want it to). The first half tries to emulate the flamboyance and colour of Baz Luhrman’s ‘the Great gatsby’ but can manage only an insipid, artifice laden visual engagement. Mahadevan is deft in his craft and doesn’t allow time for any questioning of logic. There are plenty of loopholes scattered around the narrative but the high entertainment levels keep you engaged enough to overlook them. This is not a masterpiece or even a great thriller-romance. It’s just a passably entertaining one!... full review

Thumbs down by Kritika Deval, Fully Hyderabad ...In all, the only reason you should actually pay to watch this one is if you're high, have a designated driver, and want a cool place to wait it out. You'll laugh, but maybe not for reasons that the makers intended. ... full review

Thumbs down by Martin D'Souza, ...Yo Yo Singh, a Harbhajan Singh lookalike without his turban, should concentrate on singing, just like Himesh should. ... full review

Thumbs down by Suhani Singh, india today ...With little merit in the film, we're more interested in seeing the featurette on the making of the film. Was Himesh really haughty like Ravi Kumar on the sets? Did he really believe he is a superhero? That's the film we want to see. ... full review

Thumbs down by Shubhra Gupta, indian express ...If they had maintained the tone, ‘The Xpose’ would have been a hoot. But songs get stuffed in, a love angle slows things, and it gets stuck in cop stations and courts. They should have just kept the cheese thick. Here’s a sampler, from early in the film. A producer tells an aspirant : “na dance na expression na pose, sirf xpose!”. Classic. Nothing more would have been needed.... full review

Thumbs down by Koimoi Team, koimoi ...If you are going for the film hoping to catch up on some suspense thriller, The Xpose will surely disappoint you. It is a half baked attempt at creating a scandalous 60s era with underlined themes of sex, infidelity and murder. With tongue-in-cheek dialogues, I found the film unsuccessful at creating suspense. ... full review

Thumbs down by Shaheen Parkar, MiD DAY ...In case you’re looking for plain entertainment, this extravagant endeavour won’t disapppoint. So who do you want to see the film for? Himesh or Honey? The choice is entirely yours... full review

So-So by Joginder Tuteja, Movie Talkies ...the very fact that as a viewer you can't quite comprehend what's in store right till the time it is finally unveiled is what makes The Xpose a good watching experience.... full review

Thumbs up by Divya Solgama, MoviezADDA ...Well, if you like Himesh Reshammiya's music and enjoy good masala entertainer then this movie won't disappoint you. It's not a masterpiece or a realistic type of cinema with good research work over its periodic settings as its sole purpose is to entertain its masala movie loving audiences. Would recommend the intellectual audiences to stay away from this movie. As for all others who were not expecting anything from this movie, 'The Xpose' turns out to be shockingly entertaining and apt for its targeted audience.... full review

So-So by Rahul Desai, Mumbai Mirror ...Honey Singh proves to be mildly competent, thereby not fitting into the scheme. Still, this is nothing that can't be overcome with a rowdy gang of friends and pre-screening tequila shots. 3 stars for the entertainment. Note that the final rating is the Arithmetic Mean-still two more than the number of stars in the film. ... full review

Thumbs up by Subhash K. Jha, NDTV ...So who said the world of the make-believe had to follow any rules? Yup, there is no business like show business. This whodunit means business. The suspense drama is bright, bouncy, believable and entertaining.... full review

Thumbs down by Noyon Jyoti Parasara, Now ...Do not get me wrong. I must say The Xpose is a complete paisa-vasool project. It was one of the rarest of its kind - the so bad that it's fantastic! I suggest go and watch it alone. You might make some new friends in the theater while laughing hollow at the film. A ticket is after all really inexpensive in comparison to new friendships!... full review

So-So by Stutee Ghosh, Planet Bollywood ... I really hope good days will be here again when musicians churn out hit scores for films and leave acting to those who can. This film is sure to sink without a trace and you have already given enough of your time reading this ode to it. I suggest go for it only if you have seriously nothing else to do. ... full review

Thumbs down by Nishi Tiwari., Rediff ...There is nothing new, story wise, to speak of and it is eventually reduced to a desperately stylised murder mystery with its single dimensionally dysfunctional and ditzy characters, jazzy music, dark glasses and trench coats, random slo-mo action sequences and what have you. ... full review

Thumbs down by Sonia Chopra, Sify Movies ...You can watch the film for the visual chutzpah, a sprinkling of interesting behind-the-scenes moments, and the intermittent unintentional laugh. But honestly, enduring the rest of the film for that, is a stretch. ... full review

Thumbs down by Somdatta Sen, Star Blockbuster ...Dear Himesh, We know musicians can be actors but there are other trends worth following. We have always had enough good actors but not half as much musicians. Please reconsider. ... full review

So-So by Reha Shrivastava, STARDUST ...It will emerge sure shot winner... full review

So-So by Madhureeta Mukherjee, Times of India ...Sonali is stunning and impressive, Zoya makes a pretty picture and Yo Yo is best when he's grooving. Himesh slips well into his character, with quirkiness and confidence. This is far from a mind-bending thriller, but a decent effort which has some good 'ol masala to keep you entertained. ... full review
