quick review: Soundtrack starts unsurely, mildly irritates while casually displaying a wasted life amidst drugs, alcohol and sex and then grips you into a story that makes you want good things to happen to a person you didn't like much or worse, were indifferent to.

Noopur:

Its not based on a true story. The original, "its all gone pete tong", is just a mockumentary. They created all fake websites about the protagonist, Frankie Wilde, to make him come out as a real life character. Just a smart gimmickery by the makers of this great movie. About the indian makers of Soundtrack, I don't know why they claimed it to be a true story. Don't know if even they fell for it.
