For what it's worth, I'd consider it a positive that I didn't find it too much of a torture.

Thumbs down by Anna MM Vetticad, annavetticadgoes2themovies ...The only actor other than Kumar who makes somewhat of an impact in Housefull 3 is Boman Irani who lifts the film in many of his scenes. Jackie Shroff, who deserves better, is wasted. ... full review

Thumbs down by Bobby Sing, Bobby Talks ...However, ending on an introspective note, I would personally like to question Akshay Kumar for his actual vision behind such contradicting choice of films displayed in the recent years, wherein at one end he gives us worth praising high-in-spirits movies such as HOLIDAY, BABY, AIRLIFT and more setting a fine example, but on the other he has no issues in featuring in songs such as “Pyar Ki Maa Ki……” and “Taang Utha Ke” creating a huge moral confusion. Here would like to add, that we all love to see Akshay featuring in these mindless comedies too using his impeccable comic timing widely known to all. But dancing to such awfully degraded lyrics………….. really hurts a lot! ... full review

So-So Bollywood Hungama ...On the whole, HOUSEFULL 3 has all the constituents of an archetypal Hindi masala movie with hilarity, absurdity, humour, gags and punches in abundance. The film is a madcap entertainer which delivers guffaws, belly laughs and over-the-top slapstick humour in gigantic proportion. The film however is bound to get diverse reactions from the audiences. If you admire and relish these entertainers, and are passionate about cinema of this variety, then HOUSEFULL 3 is definitely a stress buster for you. Else, you can stay away from this. At the Box-Office, HOUSEFULL 3 will appeal only to the masses, the aam aadmi, who relish hardcore masala movies. ... full review

Thumbs up by Sreeju Sudhakaran, Bollywood Life ...Housefull 3 is neither the best comedy film in Bollywood nor it aims to be. Yet, it is the best film of the franchise (not that there is much to aim there…), as it is far more entertaining and funnier than its predecessors. Go for it, if you like mindless entertainers, and I am sure you will not be disappointed! ... full review

Thumbs down by Deepa Gahlot, cinemaah ...There may have been a genuinely funny joke or two hidden in there, but one can’t recall it—left the brain at home, remember? ... full review

Thumbs down by ARNAB BANERJEE, Deccan Chronicle ...But if your sole purpose of staving off boredom is to spend 135 minutes in a theatre, despite the overly enthusiastic effort on the part of the star-cast and the filmmaker’s stimulus giving no value or meaning or fun-filled joy ride to your life, you might as well go for it! ... full review

Thumbs down by Ameet Bhuvan, Desi Martini ...So the film moves on, one song to the other, one line after another, silly to down right ridiculous, insensitive to weirdly insulting, with not an iota of a pretense of film making or story telling. ... full review

Thumbs down by Mohit Patil, Desi Martini ...The ideas that Housefull 3 peddles, predicates its humour on, are so sickening one could write a thesis on all the irredeemable aspects of it. No, it can't - shouldn't - be cut some slack because hey, it's just mindless entertainment. Humour is always loaded with politics, even quick one-liners propagate or denounce ideas. No joke falls from the sky, just like that. If this piece of shit does end up working at the box-office, it would be an urgent message to us as a society that we need to get our heads checked. It's that awful... full review

Thumbs down by Krish Sripada, Desi Martini ...If you love PJs and grown-ups behaving like losers and pretty actresses talking dumb crap with foreign accent (because brought up in London), this is your movie. Enjoy! ... full review

Thumbs up by Sarita A Tanwar, DNA ...Housefull 3 is mad, irreverent and funny. And it has Akshay Kumar's outstanding return to comedy in one of his finest performances. Go for it. ... full review

So-So by Devesh Sharma, Filmfare ...To reiterate, Sajid-Farhad had ample opportunities to make a genuinely campy situational comedy but bungled it. The actors involved try their hardest to rise above the material given to them. They are all at ease with each other and a little more directorial effort would have made it a nice ensemble film. ... full review

Thumbs down by johnson Thomas, Free Press Journal ...Bachchan is an aspiring rapper (a bad one at that) , Deshmukh is a professional car racer (he looked quite clueless), and Akshay with a split personality is a footballer, are in the romancing and self-deprecation, attracted by the big chance. The confounding script gets it even more complicated by inserting Urja Nagre (Jackie Shroff) a former underworld Don who appears to have a personal interest in the future of the three belles. And there’s Chunky Pandey rehashing his Aakhri Pasta with so much cheese that it grates on your nerves. The jokes and slap-stick are of the repetitive variety- the kind you have read on the internet/social media time and again. 1... full review

So-So by Vishal Verma, ...All said and done, HOUSEFULL 3 may still find patronage among Akshay Kumar's die-hard fans and those who can laugh at anything. Leaving the rest to pray that this may be the 'Aakhri Pasta' (the last installment) of this no brainer that was once upon a time an entertainer... ... full review

Thumbs down by Anupama Chopra, Hindustan Times ...Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek Bachchan – all seem to be having fun and their energy keeps the engine running. But it’s not enough. And did I mention that Chunky Pandey reprises his role as Aakhri Pasta. In one scene, he appears disguised as the paravarik jyotish Akhri Aasta. It’s very tiring. ... full review

Thumbs down by Suhani Singh, india today ...Everything about Housefull 3 screams for attention. It's as if its makers want you to know that they have spent a lot on the actresses' make-up and skimpy wardrobe, the locations and the ghastly songs with innumerable extras. The humour is crass -it's oh-so-hilarious to rob young women of the ability to have kids. The move of suddenly turning overtly serious doesn't work neither do the puns. The slapstick humour is only exhausting and not engaging one bit. Of the cast, the one who occasionally manages to pull off the ridiculousness is Akshay Kumar. It isn't a good sign at all that for a film that proclaims to be a comedy that the audience spends most of it in pin-drop silence. ... full review

So-So by Surabhi Redkar, koimoi ...Housefull 3 is a no-brainer that can be enjoyed only by fans of Akshay. For people seeking for good jokes, check into one of your WhatsApp groups! A 2/5 for this not-so-housefull of jokes! ... full review

Thumbs down by Lata Jha, Live Mint ...‘Housefull 3’ is an ode to hare-brained antics that should work if you don’t look for sense, while ‘The Nice Guys’ does well with its random lunacy dished out by experts ... full review

So-So by Shubha Shetty-Saha, MiD DAY ...This is not a politically correct film by any standards and is quite unapologetic about it, except for a forced, unwittingly hilarious scene where the girls talk about kindness towards handicapped people. ... full review

So-So by Jaidev Hemmady, Movie Talkies ...If mindless comedies make your day, do go for this one, but don't have any great expectations... ... full review

Thumbs down by Kunal Guha, Mumbai Mirror ...Sajid Khan would've done a better job — said no one ever. But given that he helmed the first two in the franchise — which essentially relied on retardedness — this would've been the glove that Khan was born to fist. The replacements — a certain director duo called Sajid-Farhad, do what any substitute would — play up the format's signature sequences, marginalise Chunky Pandey and hope for a miracle. But they only go on to prove that if laughter is the best medicine, this film will make you beg for euthanasia. ... full review

Thumbs down by Saibal Chatterjee, NDTV ...The onus is eventually on Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek to give the film some direction. But all that they do is flow along with the mindless tale, often hitting dead-ends from where there can be no return to sanity. ... full review

Thumbs down by Namrata Joshi, The Hindu ...Abhishek Bachchan has a natural flair for comedy but here he is toned down to the extent of becoming lacklustre. And can we please see him with an identity of his own rather than being burdened with his illustrious surname? He is certainly more than a “bade baap ka beta”. Even on the silver screen. ... full review

So-So by Meena Iyer, Times of India ...One star in the rating is for Akshay who has mastered this genre. Riteish and Abhishek keep pace with him, as does Jacqueline. So if you just want to LOL—go for it! ... full review

Thumbs up by Raghav Jaitly, ZEENEWS.COM ...Our verdict is that 'Housefull 3' is a full-on family entertainer. After all, there is no harm in giving logic a small break for a while. ... full review
