Happy Ending - Preview

wogma rating: The keen should rent; else TV (?)
quick review:

Is love permanent? An urban romcom that tries to get a grapple on love. It is charming in its own way, but ultimately ends up having very little more than a regular romedy, as it likes to call itself.

A sex comedy, with an innuendo in the title itself to be carried on to song titles - doesn't look like a film that I would find appealing. However, given the theme of a writer who is forced to write a "typical" script for a film by a star, gives the innuendos a fresh life - a spoof of real life, a satire that just might work kind of a life.

It does help that the movie is directed by the duo who were behind enjoyable, though not great, films like Go Goa Gone, 99, and Shor in the City. The cast is enticing too with Saif Ali Khan, Ileana D'Cruz, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin in the leads. Even Govinda seems to be less annoying than usual, or let's just say appropriately annoying.

Given this background, I can see myself enjoying the film. I just hope they don't go overboard on the sexual / slapsticky comedy front. As usual, fingers crossed
