very nice review. based on nudity and sexual content info you provided I think I can watch with some dear ones...:) thanks. I would usually watch bollywood movies free here
The movie is nice...a middle class family got stuck in fulfilling the desire of having a car.It nicely depicts the conditions which a family faces while fulfilling a dream wish of having a car for their family.
Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were superb in their acting and the rest of the actors supported them well.
GOOD MOVIE;ALTHOUGH WITH A MESSAGE, BUT INCOMPLETE.
A movie which shows that; there are not only two ways of fulfilling desires of self; but also that these desires in the first place are not of own; but in-effect are born and built up in self by self; due to outside influence.
Such desires are born in self; primarily and essentially; not due to fancifull thinking or ideas of self; but due to some such challenging situation faced by the self; outside the family; which not only calls the self to make some strong hard core committments; but which drives the self to do so; for keeping the pride and self esteem of the family of self protected and in high spirits.
There was no need and requirements of a car as such ; although there was need and requirements of some extra money or income by the family; but situations and circumstances forced and drove RISHI KAPOOR to make a comittment to buy one in 15 days; inspite of not having either real need and requirement; or enough money; or good enough reasons, objects, activities, actions and nature of material help; to do so.
The movie shows that one way of gaining money to fulfill desires; as mentioned above is the way of the material world itself; or the way of the educated and the intelligent ones only; i.e. loans from bank, loans from work place, extra time for not only working extra shifts and extra hours, but also for additional jobs; other family members of the house hold joing work of their choice ( wife and children including)
The other way which the movie shows is the way of tradition as well; that of the ability of the man of the family to continue to take up challenges; not only of and for helping the needy in the truthfull and righteous manner; but also to do so with the help of courage.
The movie shows that one cannot otherwise do so; as said above; i.e to continue to take up challenges; not only of and for helping the needy in the truthfull and righteous manner; but also to do so with the help of courage.
The movie goes on to show that if a person had not done any hard work earlier; as given below; he cannot do as above.
ONE; to do good deeds of putting in efforts to make other people become good;
TWO; to allow them to enjoy their own respective lifes at his expense; ( like MR. RISHI KAPOOR did to help his students earlier); and
FINALLY; to be such a loving husband and a loving father for his family, who not only respects his wife as a house wife and holds her in great esteem, but who also gives a free hand to his children to let them enjoy life as they want to;
Although Mr. RISHI KAPPOR did hard work as above; but he did so ignorently, without knowledge, consciousness and awareness of the fact that such a appraoch could lead the wife and children to engage themselves in unrequired and difficult situations.
THE MOVIE HOWEVER FAILED TO GIVE US AN IDEA AS TO HOW CAN ONE DO AS ABOVE; ESPECIALLY WHEN DESIRES AND DEMANDS OF THE SOCIETY FROM SELF; ARE NOT ONLY THRUST UPON SELF; BUT ARE ALSO SUCH THAT THEY DRIVE THE SELF TO KNOW SUCH DESIRES AND DEMANDS AS THE ONLY TRUE NEED AND REQUIREMENTS OF SELF; AND AS THE ONLY MEANS AND METHODS TO HELPING THE SELF AND THE FAMILY OF THE SELF WITH.
It's "keeping up with the Joneses" not "keeping up with the Johnson's".
Thanks @mountainebony! Corrected I always mix that one up. Wrong wiring in the head. :P
