How did the Bangla brother's find out where the rest of the cast of the film were engaged in a war?

They could not reach Mikhail on his cell.
They go to Charlie's house, meet Bhope Bhau's goons there with Mikhail's dead body(who do you think kill them at Charlie's house?), and find out about Mikhail's killer. Then to avenge the murder they go to Bhope Bhau's place.

Loved the movie,. As a representative of today's youth i can confidently say that the movie was successful in representing our mindset, our priorities and our conflicts.. Ending was a bit sync off with the rest of the flow but what the hell, its cool...(4/5)

  • PIRATES Vs. US:

All the "soft"ware stuff vendors, whether its movies or music or video games or computer software have everything on their side. Once the product is made all they have to do is make copies and they sell it for huge(read it gigantic) profit margins. Now compare this to automobiles or cement or electronic businesses. Do they really deserve it? NO. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich's actions against Napster shows the greed and single-mindedness of music industry(can be applied to other "soft"ware industries) people. Take example of South Park, the best US serial I have seen, South Park Makers, after broadcasting latest episode on TV, put the episode on internet free of cost. Can't they make more profits ? They can, but they know they have made enough profits already. And what about those bollywood people who on one side asks us to stop piracy to increase their profit margins and on the other side shamelessly steals stories and music and scripts from foreign cinema. Their greed cant become morals for us.

  • 1920:

    @meetu,
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>only spoilers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Ok lets talk in typical bollywood language now.. A side-hero tries to practice exorcism but the spirit takes the body away n people carrying out the exorcism fails to stop the spirit from taking away tht body from the 'exorcism place'.( again it does not fail, just never gets completed, its their first time u know :) ). Now everyone else is down, so "hero" comes into the picture and with his better muscular strength he carries out his method of spirit destruction, only this time learned from the previous mistake he does not let spirit take away the body.(if the spirit was successful with this, even this method would ve failed..) Now the side-hero and hero belongs to different religions and they have their different religious weapons. At the end of the day in bollywood movies only hero conducts the final act. We should give that much liberty to film directors, shall we not? Even my point in comment#1 cud be valid, but i don't expect Vikram Bhatt to think that much.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Trust me, the movie is being certified by Indian censor board, the most orthodox censor board on planet earth. If they didn't find any religion related problem with that, there is no problem.

The movie is trash btw.. I heard Beethoven first time in a hindi movie (that too my favorite symphony), I can give one star just for that :)

  • 1920:

Just watched the movie..( only bcoz of ur review, had to find out abt the religious superiority thing, otherwise there were no plans :) ). And seriously meetu, was not able to find any instance in the movie where superiority of one religion was implied over another. I am not able to understand what made you think so. Scenes about the religious artifacts, where evil spirit shows its strength are quite common and copied from english movies of the same genre. Vikram Bhatt is known for that, not for communal thinking :)

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BIG SPOILERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The process of exorcism does not fail, it never gets completed.(again same kind of scenes are present in at least couple of dozen movies), at the other end, process gets completed for Hanuman Chalisa.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

But the 'religion superiority implication' flavor given to ur review plus adding the links abt communal tension involving respective religions is really surprising. Its like creating issue(where religions are involved) out of a non-issue. A real disappointment.

  • Rock On:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I was recently educated by a rock-enthusiast that lyrics are very plain and factual in rock music.
    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Not really true, rock is a very broad category of music. Rock music has given this world very insightful, philosophical and sometimes path braking lyrics. Rock is so vast and mangled at the same time thats its difficult to attach tags. I am glad this movie tries to cover different genres of rock.

About movie, movie scenes take their own sweet time to develop characters, situations. I am glad to see that new age directors' patience has grown up to show scenes like these. I hope even audience ll start to appreciate this.

  • Mumbai Meri Jaan:

Transformation of Kay Kay's character was really not convincing. Something like 'Bombay', just give a speech and change one's heart. Even Ratnam could not avoid that so lets not be harsh on Nishikant Kamat :). When the topic in question is religion, directors like to go all simplistic.

  • Batman - The Dark Knight:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>> Too many spoilers
    @Anand,
We don't have to fight here over Joker, that's what he wants :) But as far as I remember he mentions his father only one time when he kills Gambol. But So does he mention his wife to Rachel. (both about how he got his scars). And he was ready to prepare one more story for Batman in the finale.
So this doesn't really prove anything about his father. Though, same movie can be interpreted in different ways(viewer's POV), so doesn't really matter :)

Joker's past is never revealed in the movie. The Joker was lying about his backstories in TDK. He tells different stories about his scar to different people. He just likes to play with people.

Attention to details is required before making intelligent remarks :)

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>SPOILERS

1] Why everytime, the hero opens his mouth, he spits philosophy/ramuism, even Ellsworth Toohey does not do tht..

2] Why IB guys are always with Goonga, use communication devices people, its so simple..

3] Why a leading terrorist comes himself to the target city for terrorist attack..

4] They are planning a terrorist activity/bomb blasts, and they are deciding on locations one day before. are the movie makers serious ?

5] Goonga and his wife are so extra loud, they actually get on your nerve.

  • New features at wogma.com:

Well personally I don't think once movie gets released, it belongs to one Haneke or Polanski(I used my favorite directors, sorry for tht :) ) but it belongs to you and me, viewers like us. When i watch movie, its my movie. So u don't ve to worry about the creators and creation process of cinema. I think you would be a perfect judge for any cinema(whether local or foreign). There are two reasons for that, first, your opinions are honest(giving poor ratings to Black Friday is no joke, i must admit its one of my favorites) and second, u almost never get carried away. And anyways a good movie is a good movie, whether directed by David Dhawan or Bergman, and vice versa.(people might thrash me for using these two in the same stmt :)) Anyways this is what i feel so you can choose to ignore it.
About the ratings/short reviews : I think "why" is always better than "what". Atleast people ll ve idea about some good movies which they missed.
About negativity factor, instead of providing short reviews for all the movies you tolerated, you can juz maintain one "favorites list". So that it would be an acknowledgment for good movies and nothing else.(lot of negativity can be balanced here :))

I am not sure whether it conforms to the predefined scope of wogma or not, but can we have reviews for international cinema ?
In addition to that can we have short reviews or just ratings for older movies which were released before wogma, so that people ll be able to refer those for their DVD options.(I know this is a long process, but juz an idea)

  • Via Darjeeling:

well, well, well, keeping less expectations didn't help. What were the creators thinking while making this film, it was like "oh I got one concept, lets make a movie on that", screenplay is loose, characterization is weak, fine art of story telling is completely missing. And what is with all those defensive conversations like "yeha pe koi psychoanalyst hona chahiye tha." and concluding speech by Vinay Pathak's character. Good opportunity wasted, big disappointment.

  • Via Darjeeling:

yep, the movie looks promising, and assessing single incident with different point of views is quite a cool theme.(and simultaneously reverse folding every individual's psychological character, remember "12 angry men") It would be interesting to see something like that in this movie.

They had to omit Buddha's part coz some religious groups objected to it.(as he was the founder of one religion and he has been shown as an avatar of a god from another religion).

    Hi mitu,
I guess u already have idea tht, the movie story line has been ripped of from cavite..
UTV bought the rights after the completion of aamir.
