wogma rating: Watch when on TV (?) - Salman Khan Fans - go for it!
quick review: I don't know about bravery and courage, but I recognize the attempt in making an epic entertainer and I see partial success. Unfortunately, only partial. And yet, Salmaniacs can rejoice!

Kabir:

By far the worst film of the year. It stank. Salman's acting is anyways pathetic and the script is so bad, that i don't knw why he wasted so many years writing this bull crap.

Mohan:

Wow.. what a comprehensive review! First time here, got to know you through indiblogger. Nice review. Thanks for the detailed review :)

megz:

meetu:

@Kabir ouch...that must hurt...

@Mohan, @megz thank you!

Prem:

@kabir..
As you say that Salman's acting pathetic as always then y do u watch his films first day??u dont like him den y??I will tell all of you guys...its becoz hes a Salman hater.He actually has not seen the film and is just trying to bluff you people so that you hav doubts about the film just like the critics tried...i do accept that the direction and screenplay(Salman had written the story and not the script) is weak but the movie is still a one time watch and sallu fans may watch it twice or thrice

Anoop:

Oops... you are so benevolent.... at times, that is...

I happened to be one of those doomed persons in the theatre today watching this pathetic so called epic. I would give it the rating, change the channels, if it were on TV. I had so high expectations, may be thats what teared me apart.

Positives of the film - Technical part - art direction, camera, graphic effects, costumes etc are superbly done. Technically, commercially, we are soon going to be be world standard, or even be leaders in this matter. Go, India, Go...

However, the story is the hero of any film, followed by the capability of the director. By this film, Salman proved that he should not try to get into his fathers shoes, rather try to be where he currently is. Director, was unsure whether this is an epic film, a love story or an action movie. I felt, if this was an out and out action movie, the result could have been much better.

I felt cheated after the movie. The only face saving is the presence of Salman himself. But for that, I surely would have left the theatre half way through.

moviefan:

LOL @ University College of England...hahaha

Rahul:

Meetu, it seems you are a Salman fan ... you have been too generous with this film. The trailers were painstaking, the movie is a complete mess.

meetu:

@Anoop and @Rahul - No, people. There were some bits that I liked and I gotta say it if I liked it. You haven't a clue how difficult it is for me to admit that I partially enjoyed a Salman film

n:

I like that movie. Nevertheless it was far better than some very hit and big budget movies.

Avisek:

Thanks a lot meetu for your review. I liked it a lot. Well, I have watched the movie despite the fact that critics were all against it. I dont believe in those so-called famous critics' ratings since they all talk for money. Had Mr. Salman Khan paid them a lot before the movie released, they would have rated it with 4 stars.

Personally, yes I liked the movie simply because it was a brave attempt. Guys remember one thing - Failures are those who never dared to attempt!!! So Salman is brave enough to go for a movie like Veer.

Salman was superb as well as his chemistry with Mithun. Sohail once again was irritating..... Jackie was ok...Zarine was good enough...

Music was excellent.

So guyz jus go for it!!!

sandeep pujari:

Manu:

expectation is too big for this film... it doesn't mean that film is too bad,,,, film is ok,,, not more than that...

anu:
