Revolutionary Road - Notepad
Revolutionary Road
quick review:
The great Suburban American Dream is completely dismembered. An honest unflinching portrayal of suburban life, depicting the disquiet and ferment that lie at the heart of a relationship.
This page has additional observations, other than the ones noted in the main review.
Plot Summary
The Wheelers are a young American couple who come to live on Revolutionary Road. Their relationship comes under strain as they try to fulfill their dreams and aspirations.
What Worked
• The two scenes where John Givings played by Michael Shannon visits the Wheelers and speaks the Truth. Both scenes are fabulous: Dicaprio, Winslet and Kathy Bates (as the long suffering mother) are a delight.

There is some nudity. I guess it has been censored by indian censor.
I loved the breakfast table scene. It has to have happened in someone's real life to make it to the film. Just can't imagine how else anyone would have thought of it. Goes so deep...
Well, cannot really comment on that! May be the scriptwriter / the novelist (the film is based on a book by Richard Yates)have visualised it, and am sure that it comes from the novel, because that is where the action inside the head really comes out!
Of course, we can only hypothesize. It was just one of those scenes that make you wonder with amazement :)
Saw the movie. Kate Winslet's performance par excellence and although Dicaprio's acting was good, his valiant efforts failed to be stay even with Winslet's.
Yes, I think you are right, but Dicaprio has done much better than usual.
