NOT A REVIEW - Just wondering if the promos do justice to the strong cast...

Ever since I met director, Raja Menon at the Pune International Film Festival, I've been looking forward to watching his movie. This obviously happens anytime you meet a person associated with a movie. Of course, that it's yet another movie in recent times with Naseeruddin Shah as one of the leads, brings its own share of excitement.
The way the movie was described made it sound like it was more about human emotions. Unfortunately, the trailer that I saw was as blah as could be. I got bored while watching the trailer. Just imagine the reaction of people who are not excited about the movie in the first place or haven't heard about it at all.
Well, I still think that's better than having an irrelevant promotional song made just for this purpose. Imagine Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raaz performing choreographed steps amidst half-naked women. Naah, thank you for saving us from that.
Isn't it sad that one of the marketing tools used to promote the movie is quotes from mainstream actors? Imagine - Aamir Khan and John Abraham endorsing a movie with Naseeruddin Shah in it! Oh well...
Hopefully, the trailer was just a mistake. And I have a great, fulfilling Friday ahead of me.

When the movie commenced I liked it. I liked the slow unfolding of the three central characters, the thrilling background score and I thought - OK, here's a good movie and the trailers and posters were right. Sadly this feeling lasted for only the first 15-20 minutes. Thereafter the movie became self indulgent without any thought for me. Why me ? because I was in the audience. I was watching the movie with expectations. Expectations of being entertained and being part of a story for 1.5-2 hours. I felt let down.
Nothing great about it at all..
Highly overrated. disappointing " target="_blank">http://www.isitworthwatching.com/2009/03/barah-aa...
