Thumbs up, by Prasanna zore, Rediff : ...Nora Fatehi as Sandy is used frugally as an actor and yet, she leaves her mark with her beauty and sexuality... full review

So-So, by Sweta Kaushal, Hindustan Times : ...Debutante director Samir Soni starts off with an amazing idea which is failed by its execution.... full review

So-So, Sify Movies : ...My Birthday Song struts its polished demeanour like a badge of honour. It has its slack passages. But most of the time we are absorbed in the goings-on waiting to see how Sanjay Suri gets out of the mess. The narrative gives him elbow room to seek an exit. So-So, by Namrata Joshi, The Hindu : ...Suri works hard at getting under the skin of the character while being perennially under the camera’s gaze. Wish he had a better cast to support him. Some spit and polish and this could have been a rare good Hindi thriller.... full review

But incessant reliance on tropes and lack of focus, leaves one disinterested and bored — even before the big reveal. ... full review

Thumbs down, by Nandini Ramnath, Scroll.in : ...My Birthday Song has just about enough meat for a short fictional film, but even that would have had to have better writing and less amateurish performances to leave traces. Even the internet has higher standards these days... full review
