Wow! What a movie! This was just something else, havent laughed so hard in a movie ever. The 150 minutes I spent watching this was the best time I have ever had in a movie theatre. I guess meetu you again didnt get the numerous delhi references otherwise it isnt anything short of a 7/7 wogma rating.
A great time for Indian Cinema, first Lucky by Chance and now Dev.D. I have talked to lot of guys who have seen the movie. Everyone just loved the first half in which the characters were introduced and their back stories were told. In the second half, self-destruction of Dev starts which didn't find favour with many considering the fact that nobody likes a loser's tale. Now the question in front of AK was whether to stick to the plot(of DevDas) or please the crowd with continuation of what happened in the first half. I am glad he chose to stick to plot. A brilliant film in all respects. Technically the finest India has ever seen with smashing soundtrack by Amit Trivedi. I hope UTV scores again with dilli-6 next. PS: Delete the other comment. It had some typos
Absolutely flawless and an extremely honest movie. The cameos by all these stars are not there to attract the audience(no celeb scenes in the promotional material, unlike OSO). The small roles played by the A-listers of Bollywood..oops, Hindi Film Industry form a very important part of the movie. Loved the Anurag kashyap cameo. Farhan Akhtar truly shines in this movie. I am a straight guy and I could feel his charm, what more can I say. Dialogues by Javed Akhtar work great, there is never a dull moment thanks to them. For konkana Sen Sharma it was pretty standard stuff, she could do this role blindfolded. Needless to say, she is excellent as Sona. Rishi kapur, Sanjay kapoor, Ally khan, Isha sharwani(as a superhot PYT), dimple kapadia, Saurabh Shukla and others, are perfect for their roles. Brilliant Casting! BTW, nice review Meetu, though I would prefer a higher rating :)

Dibakar.B talks about OLLO in a candid chat with Amit Masurkar and Karan Makhija.
He also defends his use of "flat narration" in OLLO, check it out Meetu!

Seems you have some prejudice against Dibakar Banerjee.
How else can you explain rating Khosla ka Ghosla & Oye Lucky Lucky Oye below crap movies like Dhamaal, Jannat, Salaam-e-ishq and so many others
