Dasvidaniya

wogma rating: Buy the DVD already (?)
quick review: Quality of life certainly wins over quantity. Dasvidaniya has enough number of interesting characters that is played by a very capable crew. Characters germinate and grow in enough details for us to see the shades.

How I have been waiting for this review.. I was sure that post-Bheja Fry Vinay would be back with a bang.. and this story is something I had thought of for making a short film.. would be amazing to see it being translated onscreen.. that too by Vinay..!

Thanks a lot for the review..!(Will post opinion after I've been to it.)

Rishi:

hmmm.. the story seems awfully similar to MY LIFE WITHOUT ME

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314412/

still would love to give it a shot... there are quite a few versatile actors/actresses in the movie... hope it's as good as the review.. fingers crossed...

meetu:

shantanu, thanks for the appreciation, do come back with your take on the movie.

Rishi - is it? have you seen My life without me? intriguing title...

Dasvidaniya is unlikely to disappoint any of you

Moksh Juneja:

you should have made a mention of his alter ego, specially who wears red shoes. Even Gaurav Gera, as the younger brother and short lived character had an impactful performance, specially when he shared screen Vinay Pathak and mother Sarita Joshi.

The songs were also very to the point, specially when he started singing Maa, it was very meaningful and had it own time value in the movie.

meetu:

I'm so glad you enjoyed the movie too, Moksh!

mayur:

I thought the scene with his brother was the show stealer. Vinay Pathak was simply mind-blowing. Excellent movie.

kunal adnani:

Excellent movie with a stark reminder of how short life really is, and how we indulge ourselves (in vain) in the daily struggles of life that matter little in the end.

Would have liked to see Amar be a little more concerned however, upon being told he has cancer. He seems to resign himself to his fate a little to quicky, with no more visits to doctors and hospitals, and with no alternatives sought (chemo?)...

sora:

I loved this movie and I enjoyed Vinay's Bheja Fry. The movie made me really think about my loved ones, the times I got angry with them and how I easily let go those precious moments for some insignificant issues. What an authentic and talented actor he is, I look forward for Vinay's future releases.
