He comes across as an awesome person and an awe-inspiring personality from the things he says and his body language, in his interviews and stage shows. The life he puts in his dances, both on and off screen, is truly energizing…
… what I can’t handle though, is his acting…
It always feels like he is over-doing it - everything, comedy, drama, romance, sentimental - just everything seems unnatural, exaggerated and larger than life. Also, there is hardly any variety in the type of characters he plays.
However, I was pleasantly surprised when I read that all of this is deliberate. He knows the audience loves what he does, and he gives them what they want over and over again, absolutely intentionally. He doesn’t try anything too different, but neither does he claim to be “different”. That I think is very admirable.

Well... he's an entertainer. I get a bit bored of him pulling all those faces time and again, but you can't argue with his popularity.
And he can be a good actor too. His mercifully low-key performance in 'Swades' was just what the movie required.
Love him or loathe him, he's got true star quality - and not many people can boast that.
Shahrukh knows what works and he panders to his market.What is great about him is the fact that he is very honest and forthright about what he does,what he is and his value system unlike many other stars.
Despite being one of the biggest crowd pullers he is amazingly humble (ref to the rate he charges as compared to the other stars in his league like Hritik Roshan and Aamir khan) As Shahrukh himself puts it , "people say that I emote in the same way in every role, what they don't understand is, how difficult it is to do the same thing over and over again in the same way"
[...] when the final score is 1-0, interests me only so much. Top it off with a “Shah Rukh Khan is over-rated” attitude. You know the makers have played their cards right, if a person with such tastes [...]
Sharukh is a Superstar!!!! Love him or hate him, he's there all around. Be it movies, ads, events etc.
well i admire him a lot not because of his acting skills, but because of his persona.
for me, he is a great struggler. coming from nowhere, he has carved a niche for himself.
that too on a very grand scale.
and every now and then he proves himself the Best!!!
after the forgettable KANK and Don, he has proven himself again in Chak De INDIA, which got its due recognition
as now its Tax Free........
"Shahrukh" the name itself is so empowering. i think he's born
to be an actor, a lover, a motivator and moreover a legend to
look up to and proudly say i am proud to be an Indian
Cause Shahrukh is.................. He has made the entire
nation feel proud of him be it his acting skills or his
personna. i am waiting for the day to meet him once and
i know after that the meetings will not stop..............
i wish him all the happiness and luck of this world. he is a
blessed child of God and nobody and nothing can deter his

Shahrukh Khan for me is a complete and holistic package of a great personality. At times he may appear unnatural, exaggerated, but he knows well what to give to his audiences. He has understood the hunger of we audiences and has molded his on-screen character as per our wish.
Personally, I want to see SRK more on talk shows, live programs and off-screen activities than on cinemas. I am truly inspired by his presentation in the talk show Koffee With Karan.
ShahRukh khan is an example to me, a great teacher.what i value so much about him is his generosity,helping others is a part of his life and i admire him so much for that,he is a gifted man born with many talents,his films are fantastic and his shows are so great that it cannot be explain in mere words,fantastic!!!!!!superb!!!!i truly appreciate everything that he does, especially his approach to somebody ,the way he speak n i should not forget to reveal he is a very good orator. HE IS THE BEST, Allah bless him.
I could not agree with you more Meetu. Kudos to you for having the guts to say it. He has a good presence off-screen but the same cotton candy on-screen. There is really nothing new. Sad that more talented actors who stick their craft and don't roll-over are not as popular.
